PGDCA

Name : Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA).

Eligibility : 10+2+3 passed.

Duration : 1 year (Semester System).

Academic Curriculum of PGDCA.

The broad objective of the PGDCA programme is to prepare Post Graduates for productive careers in software industry, corporate sector, govt. organisations and academia by providing skill based environment for teaching and research in the core and emerging areas of the discipline. The Programme’s thrust is on giving the students a thorough and sound background in theoretical and application-oriented courses relevant to the latest computer software development. The programme emphasizes the application of software technology to solve mathematical, computing, communications/networking and commercial problems.

Objective:

This aim of diploma is to develop dynamic computer professionals in short time. The programme covers all aspects and basics in Computer Application. It also has projects for developing full software in various software languages along with real time environment. The programme prepares the student to undertake Master Programme and for designing small business application softwares as per the need of industry and real world.

PGDCA Syllabus:

Computer Fundamentals Visual Basic
Application Software Packages Object-Oriented Programming
Programming in C, C++ Concept of DBMS through FoxPro
Computer Organisation and Architecture Introduction to Internet Technologies
System Analysis and Design Introduction to Linux
Practical Lab-1 (PC Software +Programming) Practical Lab-2 (Programming + DBMS + Internet)

Examination Pattern:

The theory examination for each module under the fifth revised syllabus would be for duration of three hours and the total marks for each subject would be 100.

Result of Examination:

Result of PGDCA examination is published after 2 months of completion of the exam. Students can check their result from this website and download. Students can also ask for result of the examination to the Institute. Results will be sent to the candidates from our institute. The result will be provided in the form of Grade. The mark scored in practical paper is not counted for calculating overall grade of the exam but, clearing practical paper is the necessary criteria for awarding the certificate.
